As well as being a practising artist, Leah has also been designing and running her own homewares label, Beneath The Sun since late 2011. The collections include textiles, functional and beautiful ceramics and fun, timber ply wall hangings. The Beneath The Sun range was created out of a need to create colourful and cheerful products for the home. All products are designed by Leah and made either by herself or with the help of local manufacturers. It supports local makers who believe in making the best quality product possible.
Beneath The Sun (Leah’s homewares label) teamed up with iconic Australian fashion label to collaborate on their HOME TIME collection in 2014. Leah and Lisa Gorman had previously worked together while she was designing at Beci Orpin’s studio, creating textiles for the Gorman collections. With a mutual love for colour, pattern and nature, it was the perfect combination to use Leah’s signature torn paper style, to apply to a beautiful homewares range. The range was a huge success and sold out.
